METLAB-WAFS is a customized version of our proven METLAB-CLASSIC system, configured specifically to meet or exceed ICAO workstations requirements with WAFS data. Our turnkey solution offers the user unique features not offered by most competitors, such as:

· World Map view - Allows the user to pan and/or zoom to any location in the world, on the current map. Some vendors require you to open another window and select a different map view just to see data off the current map.

· Data Overlay - Users can easily view pressure contours over wind data or overlay any number of geographical products.

· Macro Folders - Complex overlays or static-products can be created with one click of the mouse. Macro Folders can contain overlays with several layers of data or hundreds of individual static-products. Macros reduce the time and work needed to create products for routine briefings or creating data for the end customers.

The US. National Weather Service (NWS) selected METLAB-WAFS for its own next generation WAFS replacement workstation, which is operationally deployed at NWS sites.

Among the many strengths of the METLAB-WAFS system is its ability to integrate data sources and products types into a visually effective, navigable display that allows the forecaster to get what they need...quickly and efficiently. The METLAB-WAFS not only receives and displays WAFS data, including alphanumeric, BUFR, T4 (DIFAX) and numerical, models, but owing to its modular design, it can also be upgraded to handle almost every other type of weather data and imagery, including GOES/GMS satellite, Doppler radar, and lightning, and other customer unique data sources.
